About Joe
More than anything else- the custom built boat, the high tech gear, the slick website, it's the captain you are deciding on when choosing a charter fishing company. A good captain is professional, personable, and patient. I am a fourth-generation Floridian and Sarasota native with 30 years experience fishing the same local waters my father and grandfathers fished before me. In my years with them I learned the ins and outs of every backwater, estuary, tributary, inlet, outlet, pass, straight, bank, and sandbar from Tampa Bay to Charlotte Harbor, as well as what tides, time a year, temperature, and weather patterns are best to bring the fish, how to read the water and identify subtle signs of fish activity, why feeding and migration patterns matter, and what techniques are best applied in a given scenario to be successful. By combining proven skills and a bit of untrained intuition, a fisherman's "sixth sense," I've earned through my many years spent fishing these local waters, I am able to offer a unique and exciting day unlike any other.
I love this job. My best days are always spent on the water sharing my knowledge of the area and the experience of fishing with others. This is what makes offering my services as a charter fishing captain so rewarding. And though I take fishing very seriously, I like the day to be both exciting and relaxing for my clients. Give me a call and we'll talk fishing: we can discuss your objectives while I offer my most recent observations and experiences, and then together, we can put together a plan for the day.
